A contact lens evaluation is performed for all first time wearers and existing contact lens wearers. It is medically necessary that an annual evaluation of the contact lenses be performed to ensure the proper health of the eyes, the contact lenses are fitting properly and your vision is adequate.
We are proud to feature and fit patients with the most technologically advanced contact lenses, which can enhance your comfort throughout the day, improve your vision, and keep your eyes in good healthy condition over previous generation lenses.
Below are many different types of contact lenses Dr. Kikunaga fits:
- Spherical disposable contact lenses
- Toric disposable contact lenses
- Bifocal / multifocal disposable contact lenses
- Monovision disposable contact lenses
- Colored disposable contact lenses
- 1-day disposable contact lenses
- Rigid gas permeable contact lenses
- Bifocal rigid gas permeable contact lenses
- Keratoconus rigid gas permeable contact lenses
- Hybrid soft / rigid gas permeable contact lenses
- Therapeutic colored contact lenses (cosmetic for disfigured eyes)
Each type of contact lens has their own advantages and purpose. Soft contact lenses are the most popular type of contact lens prescribed today by optometrists. We fit many patients with a disposable type of contact lens, meaning you dispose of your contact lenses more than once yearly. Disposable soft contacts provide superior comfort and convenience along with the advantages of a clean, healthy contact lens frequently. Dr. Kikunaga can discuss which type of contact lens would fit your lifestyle needs and which replacement contact lens schedule would be most beneficial.
